
Zholdasbek Turlybekov is a saber coach registered with USA Fencing.
His distinguished career as a saber fencer representing the Kazakhstan National Team culminated in earning the title of Senior Asian Championship silver medalist.
Zholdas holds a Master’s degree from the Kazakh Academy of Tourism and Sports, specializing in fencing coaching. He is an International Master of Sports in fencing and a highly qualified coach who has served on the coaching staff of the Kazakhstan National Fencing Team.
Throughout his extensive coaching career, Zholdas has worked as Head Coach at the Republican College of Sport, Head Coach of the Kazakhstan National Team, and most recently as Head Coach of the Kazakhstan Youth National Team.
His students have achieved outstanding results, including participation of Sarybay Aigerim in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, a bronze medal of Nurmukhammed Zhaylibay at the Junior World Championships in 2026, Rio de Janeiro, multiple finalist placements at the Junior World Championships, as well as titles and medals at the Asian Championships, Asian Games, World Universiade, and Kazakhstan National Championships.
Coach Zholdas also holds a license as an International Fencing Referee (FIE) in all three weapons (saber, foil, épée) and has officiated at multiple World Championships and World Cups.
Zholdas’s expertise and high-level coaching experience are a true asset to the MFC saber program.
