
Maksym Petrov is a foil fencing coach registered with USA Fencing, MFC co-founder.
Maksym began his fencing career in 1992, progressing rapidly to join the Ukrainian National Team from 2000 to 2008. During this period, he represented Ukraine in numerous World Cups, as well as Junior and Senior World and European Championships. Domestically, he claimed the title of Ukrainian National Champion six times and holds a total of 25 national titles.
He earned his academic credentials from the National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine, where he received multiple diplomas, including a bachelor’s degree in Fencing Coaching and Physical Education, and a master’s degree in Sports Management.
Maksym served as the Head Coach of the Indonesian National Foil Fencing Team for two years, contributing to the country's national fencing development program and preparing athletes for the 2011 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.
Before founding MFC, he coached for seven years at the Silicon Valley Fencing Center, where his students consistently achieved outstanding results in local, regional, national, and international competitions.
During his long coaching career, under his mentorship, his students have gone on to become National Team members, European and World Cup medalists, and Junior World Championship medalists.
